Beal is a pragmatist. He understands that the only way to train a crew for the tight turnaround times between rounds at an NHRA event is with hands-on work on a hot engine during testing weekends at the track. The only way to develop a good tune-up is to run the car in a wide variety of weather conditions across a variety of race tracks. And with a rookie driver in Brandon Welch, Beal's grandson, the only way for a driver to reach the skill level necessary to qualify and compete on Sundays is lots of seat time in the race car. The common thread with all of these is lots of time for Beal and crew testing, tuning, and tweaking the secret formula away from the limelight of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.
Beal knows that getting all the variables right before appearing at the track is the difference between zero and hero on race weekends. That's why he's not pushing a hard deadline for when to debut the new team on the NHRA circuit. Stay tuned for more news and information as Beal Racing plans for its NHRA debut.
